Veterans Resources

Welcome to the Westampton Township Veteran Page!  Westampton is less than 13 miles away from Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and home to several hundred veterans, prior service, and active personnel. Westampton proudly employs (over 18) employees who are either active reservists or prior service.

Please take a moment to look around the page and familiarize yourself with the resources available.

Veteran’s Property Tax Deduction

Effective December 4, 2020, State law eliminates the wartime service requirement for the $250 Veterans Property Tax Deduction.  Veterans and surviving spouse/civil union/domestic partners must have active duty service with an honorable discharge.  Reservists and National Guard personnel must be called to active duty service to qualify.

The eligibility requirements can be found by clicking here.  A Form V.S.S. and documentary proof must be filed with Marie Procacci, Westampton’s Tax Assessor.

100% Disabled Veteran Property Tax Exemption

If you are an honorably discharged veteran who was 100% permanently and totally disabled (or surviving spouse/civil union/domestic partner) during active service, you may qualify for an annual property tax exemption on your principal or primary residence.

The eligibility requirements can be found by clicking here.  A Form D.V.S.S.E and documentary proof must be filed with the Tax Assessor.
